About this project
Rationale for our design strategy
This Learning Conference on Situated Learning and Distributed Cognition is designed to reflect both of these theories in its presentation. Twitter, as an online, real-time collaborative tools allows learners from all corners of the world to join in on a single conversation. Each tweet brings individual experiences which combine with others to create knowledge that extends well beyond the individual. These discussions remain as accessible cognitive artifacts that can be retrieved by anyone, at any time.
As MET students, we are challenged to intelligently incorporate digital technologies into our learning and classrooms. Learning how to effectively use Twitter and it’s academic resources could be beneficial to our classmates. We have scaffolded the concepts with video examples, supporting articles and guided instructions, to encourage student participation. This situated experience is facilitated by “expert” group members.
